Eating Out

There are lots of places to eat all within a few minute's walking distance of Brantholme, and it doesn't have to be fine dining every night.

There's plenty of choice from gourmet restaurants to fish and chips, bar snacks and takeaways. Chinese, Indian, Italian and Thai are available to tickle your palette and suit your pocket. Here are some of our favourites:

For Lunch

Cafe Treff , Zefferellis, Flying Fleece, Dodd's, The Apple Pie, Stile's, Daisy's Cafe, Bilbo's Cafe & Rattle Gill Cafe. The YHA and Chesters by the River are a walk away but worth it!

Evening Meal

Zefferellis, Dodd's, Sheilas Cottage , Flying Fleece, Matthew's Bistro, Tarantella's, The Priest Hole, The Old Stamp House, Jintana (Thai), Doi Intanon (also Thai), Spice of Bengal, Lake Road Kitchen to name a few. All are within walking distance of our Ambleside B&B.

For the vegetarians and vegans out there Zefferellis, Rattle Gill Cafe and Chester's by the River are all fully vegetarian and have vegan options too.

There are also a fantastic range of sandwich shops & takeaways just a short walk away and two fish and chip shops, one just at the end of the road.
